About Us
We are group of disabled professionals with over ten years of experience working with a variety individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our Leadership Team has worked together on various projects and programs for five years. The National Disability Association provides support and guidance managing the day-to-day challenges of having adisability. We meet weekly to discuss a variety of topics both disability relatedand day-to-day related. The Leadership Team also provides a Peer Mentoring Program with members which helps promote socialization and friendship building.

Caleb Wells Director of Operations: LPC, BCBA, MALAS

Caleb W. Wells LPC, BCBA, MALAS Is 28 Year Old Licensed Practical counselor and professor who lives in Flushing, New York. Born with Cerebral Palsy, Caleb was raised in the small village of Sappington Missouri with his three brothers. Caleb's passion for education started early as he loved school and always wanted to be a teacher. Caleb has eight years of experience as a secondary education special education teacher and basketball coach. In 2018 he earned an undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Science and Special Education from Wichita State University. In 2021 he Earned a Master's Degree of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Social Sciences with an Emphasis in Sociology and Behavior and Communication Disorders from Saint Louis University. For the past six months Caleb has been working as a Pediatric Behavioral interventionist in a clinical The National Disabilities Association is important to me because it has allowed me to work with my best friends and make a contribution to the lives of adults living with disabilities. Disabilities do not disappear after individuals age out of Pediatric and Adolescent programming and it is imperative for people to understand that kids with disabilities grow up and become adults in this world. The role of the National Disabilities Association is to help ease the transition into adulthood

Director of Communications: Melissa Bishop, M.S.

Melissa is a Behavior Specialist that has a Master’s Degree from University of Rochester Warner School with over ten years of experience working with both children and adults with both intellectual and developmental disabilities with a focus on individuals with Autism. Melissa was born with Cerebral Palsy and resides in Queens New York.

Moshe Bergmann, Director of Internal Affairs and Technology:

Moshe Bergmann is a certified life coach that specializes in talking and working with people with disabilities for over 20 years, Moshe also has a Bachelors of Science with an academic Achievement award from Newark University. Moshe was born with spina bifida and has interacted with the disabled community all his life as a very outgoing and helpful person.

Zoe Maye Van Smoot- Director of Health Support and Security

Zoe is a seven and half year old German Shepherd Golden Retriever cross breed who is certified in seizure and neurological alerts. Zoe has been working with our director of operations for seven years and has lived in four different states in her short productive life. Born and raised in the great plains of south central Kansas. In her free time Zoe enjoys long walkies, Doritos, naps and train rides. Zoe has a heart of gold and a fluffy tail.
